50 Swedish sea level stations added

Added on 2021-10-20 10:41:11 by Hammarklint, Thomas
Recently, 50 Swedish sea level stations have been added to the IOC Sea Level Station Monitoring Facility.
As of 2017, the Swedish Maritime Administration (SMA) and Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) established a joint Swedish Sea Level Network, consisting of more than 50 sea level stations (Swedish National Report to GLOSS GEXVI).

All stations in the network are equipped with dual radar- and pressure-sensors and communication solutions, that can deliver data every minute. In collaboration with the Swedish mapping, cadastral and land registration authority (LM), all stations have been leveled and connected to the Swedish Land Survey Datum (RH 2000), also known as Baltic Sea Chart Datum 2000 (BSCD2000). Data is open and freely available through many different programs and projects. Long term records from Swedish sea level stations can be downloaded from SMHI Open Data Service.
